Dubai, UAE 3 April 2007 – Milco has recently been declared by Forbes Arabia as the 32nd most popular Arab brand in the entire Middle East and North Africa region. Based on an online survey conducted by Forbes Arabia, over 1200 people from across the region found Milco to be a brand they were familiar with, that is relevant to them, that they could trust, and recommend to others. Milco’s final ranking was determined by the number of affirmative consumer responses in those categories.
“Milco is one of the most popular brands in the dairy market in the Middle East with a dominant market share,” said Salim Rayes, General Manager of Milco. “This survey confirms our continued commitment and efforts to producing healthy products that everyone can enjoy.”
Milco has made an enormous effort in the past several years to build up its brand to become a household name for consumers. The results have been well received, with the company dominating the dairy products industry in the UAE with a 37 percent market share. And being named by Forbes Arabia as one of the top Arab brands has shown that the professional business media is taking notice as well.
“Milco believes in continuous improvement and advancement of our products and our results are a clear testimony of efforts,” added Salim Rayes, General Manager of Milco. “We intend to strive towards better outcomes based on consumer choices.”
The product range under the Milco brand includes Fresh Milk, fresh yoghurt and fruited Yoghurt, Laban, Labneh, Fresh Juices and Fruit Drinks. Milco Flavored Milk is the latest in the Milco range. It is attractively packed and available in Strawberry and Chocolate varieties. This marks Milco’s plans to penetrate the children’s category of the industry and once again, raise the bar in packaging design and product excellence. Milco’s products are available at supermarkets throughout the Middle East.
